Tensions were already high between India and Pakistan during the Asia Cup 2025 due to on-field confrontations and the ongoing no-handshake controversy. A Pakistani talk show panelist sparked outrage by promoting violence, including “firing bullets,” to prevent India from winning, leaving fans in disbelief.
India continued their dominance over Pakistan in T20Is with a six-wicket win in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash in Dubai. They recorded their 12th victory in 15 T20Is against Pakistan. Pakistan struggled throughout the match, showing little threat with both bat and ball after a promising start in the first 10 overs.
Pakistan Players Spark Controversy With Gestures in Super 4 Clash
Pakistan players sparked controversy with their gestures during the match against India. Sahibzada Farhan celebrated his fifty with a gun-firing gesture using his bat, while Haris Rauf provoked Indian fans by shouting “6-0” while fielding near the boundary.
Team India opener Abhishek Sharma was involved in a verbal altercation with Rauf. The heated exchanges and controversial gestures further fueled political tensions between the two nations.
These incidents overshadowed the match, with analysts and commentators questioning Pakistan’s ability to challenge India. Notably, Pakistan have not beaten the Men in Blue in white-ball formats since the T20 World Cup 2022.
Kuch Ladke Firing Hi Kar Dena - Pakistan TV Panelist
On ARY News, host Waseem Badami asked if the team could succeed by giving their best, and the panelist shockingly replied that the players could “start firing” to end the match, adding that Pakistan’s loss was inevitable.
"Sir agar ladke yaha se jaan maare to kya hum jeet sakte hain? (Sir, if our boys give it their all, can they win from here?)," he said.
"Mere khayal mein ya to ye karde ya kuch ladke firing hi kar dena idhar match he khatam karo kyuki confirm hai hum harenge. (I think either they should give it their all or the boys can do some firing and end the match because it's confirmed that we are losing from here)," the panelist replied.

Losing the match so badly that they openly talk about sending boys to fire bullets and stop the game.
This is the real mentality of Pakistan — terror even in cricket!

The situation escalated as the panellist even laughed after the controversial remark. Former Pakistan cricketers Basit Ali and Kamran Akmal were also part of the discussion.
Pakistan Suffer Six-Wicket Loss To India in Super 4 Clash
Pakistan started the match against India on a positive note. The Men in Green reached 91/1 in 10 overs. Sahibzada Farhan scored 58 runs, but they struggled to accelerate after settling at the crease. Faheem Ashraf scored 20 runs off 8 balls as Pakistan finished at 171/5 in 20 overs.
In response, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill added a 105-run opening stand. Abhishek scored 74 off 39 balls while Gill added 47 runs. Their partnership allowed India to chase the target comfortably despite losing a few middle-order wickets.
