The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Wednesday, released a revised schedule for the upcoming three-match T20I series at home between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Notably, the upcoming series will serve as crucial preparation for the two Asian teams ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The cricket board originally planned a five-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh with games in Faisalabad. However, it has been reduced to just three T20I matches due to logistical and security issues. All three games will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from May 28 to June 1.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials, including Chairman Nazmul Abedeen and President Farooq Ahmed, met before finalizing the schedule. Both boards agreed to proceed with the revised three-match T20I series.
"The PCB looks forward to hosting Bangladesh and delivering an exciting series that promises high-quality cricket under lights at Gaddafi Stadium," the official statement read.
The three-match T20I series between the two teams is scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 28. After that, the second game will be played on Friday, May 30, followed by the final match on Sunday.
All matches will begin at 8:00 PM local time. Bangladesh is expected to arrive in Lahore on May 25. They will train for two days on May 26 and 27 to acclimate and prepare ahead of the series.
The Men in Green Squad for the T20 Series Bangladesh Announced
Earlier, the PCB named a 16-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. This series will be the first under new head coach Mike Hesson. The squad, led by Salman Ali Agha, was selected based on standout performances in the ongoing PSL 2025 season.
Notably, some senior players, including former captains Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, have been left out. Pacer Hasan Ali, all-rounder Hussain Talat, and opener Sahibzada Farhan, who have shown strong form recently, have made comebacks.
Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub also return after recovering from injuries that sidelined them during major tournaments and tours. This series will serve as a platform for Pakistan to test players’ talent under Hesson.
