The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a revised schedule for the upcoming three-match Test series against the England national cricket team. The Pakistan Cricket Board has excluded the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from the list of venues for the upcoming Test series on home soil.
Pakistan will host the three-match Test series against England, starting on October 7. The three-match Test series is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle. England is in sixth place in the WTC standings, while Pakistan is in eighth place in the nine-team points table.
Second Test Shifted From Karachi To Multan, PCB Confirms
The second Test between Pakistan and England has been moved from the National Stadium in Karachi to Multan. The board made the decision due to ongoing renovations at the venue in Karachi. These renovations are expected to be incomplete before the start of England's tour of Pakistan.
The first Test will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan, starting on October 7, as originally planned. Multan will host the second Test match from October 15 to 19. The three-match Test series will be concluded with the match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 24 to 28.
The Pakistan Cricket Board is renovating the National Stadium in Karachi to prepare for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. A significant budget has been allocated to enhance the facilities and ensure a great experience for spectators during the prestigious tournament in February and March.
