The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering relocating the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) playoffs and final clash to another country, with England as a strong option. However, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has decided not to host the Pakistan Super League playoff matches next year.

The PSL 2025 will be played in April and May next year due to the ICC Champions Trophy, which is scheduled for February 2025. The PSL 2025 will overlap with the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time. The Pakistan Cricket Board usually hosts the PSL in February and March each year.

Key foreign players might prefer to play in the Indian Premier League over the PSL 2025 due to higher salaries. The overlapping schedules could significantly impact the Cricket Board in terms of viewership and sponsorships, as both league matches will start around the same time.

England Rejects Pakistan's Request to Host PSL 2025 Playoffs

According to a report by Cricket Pakistan, franchise owners were informed that an official would travel to England to review the possibility of hosting the PSL 2025 matches. However, it has been revealed that England has refused to host the matches due to the unavailability of their grounds.

The report further added that some PCB officials are considering the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as an alternative venue. However, they are concerned about the intense heat in May for hosting the matches there.

Franchises had recently raised concerns with the PCB about profit shares from the ninth edition and other issues. However, franchise owners have not received a response from the cricket board. A senior official assured them in a call that a governing council meeting would be held soon to address their concerns.
