'Pakistan in a mess': Aakash Chopra, Michael Vaughan brutally troll Shan Masood's team after loss to Bangladesh

Former India National Cricket Team batter Aakash Chopra and ex-England National Cricket Team captain Michael Vaughan brutally trolled the Pakistan National Cricket Team after their humiliating defeat against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team in the Test series opener.

The Shan Masood-led side faced a shock loss at the hands of the Najmul Hossain Shanto & Co. in the first Test of the two-match series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

After the first four days, it looked like the match was heading towards a draw but on the final day, Bangladesh spinners made the match out of it and clinched a crucial win to make a big jump in the ICC World Test Championship Points Table.

Talking about the match in detail, Pakistan lost 3 wickets for 16 runs after being invited to bat first on Day 1. However, Saud Shakeel (141) and Mohammad Rizwan (171) didn't let Bangladesh take control of the match and took their side to a good total of 448/6d.

With the ball, meanwhile, Pakistan bowlers looked clueless and weren't able to pick wickets. They were especially troubled by Mushfiqur Rahim, who smashed a sensational 191 runs, while Shadman Islam (93) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (77) also gave a tough time to the hosts. Bangladesh then posted 565 runs on the board to take a good lead.

In the third innings of the match, Pakistan delivered a horrible performance and got bundled out for 146 runs. Bangladesh got a small target of 30 runs to chase and they did it comfortably to win by 10 wickets.

Taking to his official X handle after the match, the former India opening batsman Aakash Chopra brutally mocked the hosts, saying that rarely does a team lose after declaring in the first innings with over 400 runs on the board and 4 wickets remaining. He added that 'Pakistan cricket is a gift that keeps' on delivering from time to time.

The former England captain Vaughan also roasted the Pakistan team and said that they are really in a mess at the moment. He also showered rich praise on Bangladesh for registering a great win over the home team.

Speaking of the ICC World Test Championship Points Table, the India National Cricket Team are the top of the table with a PCT of 68.52, and the second spot is occupied by the Australia National Cricket Team, who have a PCT of 62.50.

Bangladesh National Cricket Team after the win over Pakistan jumped to the No.6 spot with a PCT of 40.00 and the Pakistan National Cricket Team have dropped down to the No.8 position with a PCT of 30.56.
