Pakistan players mentally disturbed, motivational speaker summoned to lift morale before big India clash

The Pakistan national cricket team has added motivational speaker Dr. Raheel to their camp to lift the players’ spirits ahead of their important match against India. Notably, the Salman Ali Agha-led team also canceled their pre-match press conference prior to the blockbuster clash, which grabbed attention.
The Men in Green suffered a seven-wicket defeat against the Suryakumar Yadav-led team in the group match in Dubai on September 14. However, the match was overshadowed by the no-handshake controversy. Suryakumar and his teammates avoided shaking hands with the Pakistan players after the match.
Pakistan Upset Over No-Handshake Controversy Following Group Stage Loss to India
In response, Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha refused to attend the post-match presentation following their loss to India. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) filed a complaint against match referee Andy Pycroft, alleging that he failed to take action against the Indian side.
The Men in Green also threatened to withdraw from the tournament. Notably, the match between Pakistan and the UAE was delayed by one hour. After a meeting with Pycroft, the PCB agreed to continue in the competition.
The ICC is reportedly considering disciplinary action against Pakistan for recording and sharing the meeting in the Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA), a restricted zone where phones and cameras are prohibited. In response, the PCB defended its actions, stating that they were within ICC protocols.
Pakistan Hire Motivational Speaker Dr Raheel Ahead of Super Four Clash
The Pakistan cricket team has hired motivational speaker Dr Raheel to their camp to boost the players’ morale ahead of their next match in the Super Four stage, as per India Today.
This comes after the Men in Green suffered a seven-wicket defeat against India in the group stage, which reportedly affected the team’s spirits. The management hopes that Raheel’s presence and guidance will help rejuvenate the squad and prepare them mentally for the crucial clash.
India will aim to maintain their flawless record in the tournament. Meanwhile, Pakistan will be eager to bounce back and seek revenge after their heavy loss to Suryakumar Yadav and his team in the group stage.
Asia Cup 2025 Enters Super Four Stage After India Beat Oman
The Asia Cup 2025 has finished its group stage after India beat Oman in Abu Dhabi. The tournament will now move to the Super Four stage and then the final.
This is the first time eight teams are playing in the Asia Cup. The format has been extended to 19 matches. 12 have already been completed, with six matches left in the Super Four stage before the grand finale.
The Super Four will start on Saturday, September 20, with Sri Lanka playing Bangladesh in Dubai. On Sunday, India will face Pakistan at the same ground. India and Pakistan reached the Super Fours from Group A. Notably, India had already beaten Pakistan by seven wickets.
