The Pakistan national cricket team is expected to visit Bangladesh to play a three-match T20I International series in July. Notably, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are nearing finalization, and this series is not included in the ICC’s official Future Tours Programme (FTP).

Pakistan are currently hosting Bangladesh in a T20I series. They have clinched the series by winning the first two matches. The Men in Green took a 2-0 lead after the second game at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Pakistan will look to complete a 3-0 whitewash when the final match takes place on Sunday in Lahore.

Pakistan Set to Tour Bangladesh for T20 Series in July

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has reportedly proposed a schedule for a three-match T20I series against Pakistan, with games slated for July 20, 22, and 24. All matches are scheduled to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

The series was arranged following discussions between officials from the BCB and the Pakistan Cricket Board on the sidelines of the ICC Champions Trophy planning sessions.

"BCB and PCB are in talks for the Pakistan T20 Team Tour of Bangladesh before the West Indies series. Purposed itinerary: 18 July Arrival in Dhaka 20 . 22 and 24 July 3 T20 Matches all in Mirpur Dhaka," Sohail Imran wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Following their tour of Bangladesh, Pakistan will head to the West Indies for another T20I series. The three-match series is set to begin on July 31 and will be played in the United States. After the T20Is, Pakistan will also play a One-Day International series against the West Indies.

Pakistan Record Victory in Second T20I Against Bangladesh

Pakistan, led by Salman Ali Agha, won the toss and chose to bat first during the second T20I match against Bangladesh. Opener Saim Ayub was dismissed early, but the team quickly recovered through a vital second-wicket partnership.

Mohammad Haris and Sahibzada Farhan added a 103-run stand, with Haris scoring 41 off 25 balls while Farhan smashed 74 runs from just 41 deliveries, including four boundaries and six sixes.

Following their departure, Salman Ali Agha contributed 19 runs off 12 balls. Hasan Nawaz then powered the finish with an unbeaten 51 off 26 balls, including two fours and three sixes, to help Pakistan post a total of 201/6 in their 20 overs.

Pakistan’s Bowlers Deliver a Dominant Performance

Bangladesh began their run chase with an explosive start, reaching 38 runs in just three overs. Tanzid Hasan scored 33 runs off 19 balls. However, their momentum didn’t last long, as Pakistan’s bowlers took control of the game.

Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf initiated a collapse, reducing Bangladesh to 77/7 within 10 overs. Although Tanzim Hasan Sakib put up a fight with a 50 off 31 balls, including five sixes, he received little support from the rest of the lineup. Bangladesh were eventually dismissed for 144 in 19 overs.

Pakistan’s bowlers delivered a complete performance. Abrar Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 19 runs. Haris Rauf, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, and Saim Ayub each chipped in with a wicket.
