Pakistan vs New Zealand Schedule 2024 announced, no matches given to National Stadium, Karachi

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Wednesday (March 13), announced the schedule for the five-match Pakistan vs New Zealand T20I series. The Black Caps will visit Pakistan next month for the series.

The series will mark New Zealand’s third visit to Pakistan in less than two years. They played two Tests and three ODIs in Pakistan in December 2022/ January 2023. In April 2023, the Black Caps once again visited Pakistan to play five ODIs and as many T20Is.

For the upcoming Pakistan vs New Zealand series, the tourists will arrive in Islamabad on 14 April before the PAK vs NZ series gets underway on April 18. The first three T20Is between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Rawalpindi before both the teams move to Lahore for the last two games, scheduled to take place on  25 and 27 April, respectively.

“In a testament to the unwavering camaraderie between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC), we are delighted to present the schedule for the New Zealand men’s team tour to Pakistan 2024,” said Usman Wahla, Director – International Cricket.

“This tour symbolizes the deep-rooted ties and mutual respect that define the relationship between our two cricketing nations.

“Our avid cricket fans and the people of Pakistan will welcome the New Zealand team again and we hope to have yet another competitive series which is a key part of our buildup to this year’s ICC T20 World Cup,” he added.

Big names likely to miss Pakistan vs New Zealand series:

Several big names from New Zealand are likely to miss the forthcoming Pakistan vs New Zealand series due to the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2024 is scheduled to get underway on March 22 and most of New Zealand’s big names will be busy playing for their respective franchises during the tournament. The players are unlikely to leave the IPL for the T20I series. As a result, the Black Caps are likely to name a second-string side for the series.
