The promising off-spinning all-rounder Parvez Rasool was alleged of stealing a pitch roller by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) and notice has been issued to return. JKCA had issued a notice to Rasool asking him to return the machinery within a week unless police had to be involved.

Rasool was disappointed by the statement from JKCA and had questioned back the association of their way of questioning an Indian cricketer who has done a lot for the state cricket’s development. Parvez Rasool played an ODI game in 2014 and a T20I game in 2017 for India.

Anil Gupta Feels The Matter Is Hyped-Up

Anil Gupta who is part of the three-member committee mentioned that the letter was sent to all district associations and not only him. Gupta added the lack of mailing address was one of the problems that had to include names that registered with the JKCA.

“We have not only written to Parvez Rasool but to all district associations and whosoever has taken JKCA machinery from Srinagar. Machinery was distributed at district associations without any vouchers.

“In many districts where we don’t have a mailing address, the letter was sent to the concerned person whose name was registered with us. He (Rasool) took offence to why the mail was written to him,” a BJP Spokesperson Anil Gupta told.

Anil Gupta Reveals The Importance Of Sending Notice

Anil Gupta mentioned that the state association had sent notice to keep their records intact and revealed the importance of the ledger book. Meanwhile, Parvez Rasool sent a reply email to the JKCA that it was unfortunate and he should have been treated like a cricketer who has a lot of experience in domestic cricket.

“We did this because we want to prepare an audit report, a ledger book needs to be maintained. There is hardly any book maintained here over the years. So when we took over after the court’s order, we saw that these machinery are not being found,” he added.
