Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Liam Livingstone is turning the game on his head in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Gujarat Titans (GT). The 37th game of the tournament between the teams is taking place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

After getting out for just 142 runs against Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings are making sure that they keep things tight with the ball. The main architect behind that has been Liam Livingstone, who has brought his team back into the game in Chandigarh.

Liam Livingstone first removed Shubman Gill to break the backbone of the Gujarat Titans. He removed the opposition skipper for 36 runs and apart from that he made sure that he didn't leak runs and put pressure on the opposition at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

If this was not enough, Liam Livingstone chipped in with another wicket and removed David Miller. The England all-rounder produced a peach of a delivery and made sure that he kept his team in the hunt against Gujarat Titans while defending the low target.

On the last ball of the 12th over, Liam Livingstone bowled a flighted ball to which David Miller tried to play the big shot. The batter backed away to hoist it over wide long-on but he missed the ball completely. The ball didn't turn and went on to crash into the leg stump to send the batter packing.

However, what caught the attention of many was the celebration of Livingstone after the wicket. The all-rounder was pumped up and punched in and quite a few times in jubilation. He also lifted the crowd up as he provided his team with a crucial breakthrough.

Here's the video:

David Miller couldn't score big as he managed just 4 runs off 6 balls. His wicket saw Gujarat Titans losing their second wicket for just 77 runs. Liam Livingstone was magnificent with the ball in the ongoing game as he returned with the figures of 4/19 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh

However, his effort went in vain as after that Rahul Tewatia scored an unbeaten 36 runs with the bat and helped his team win the game. Gujarat Titans chased the target with 3 wickets in hand and bagged important two points in the league.

Rahul played an amazing knock once again - Man of the Match Sai Kishore was elated with Gujarat Titans' win

Sai Kishore, who took four wickets in the game, was elated with the way his team played. He credited head coach Ashish Nehra for creating a fearless environment in the team. He also lauded Rahul Tewatia for his magnificent innings with the bat and stated that it was a complete team effort from them. He explained:

"Ashish Nehra has created a beautiful environment where we can be fearless and play for the team no matter what the result is. He told me to enjoy myself and gave me a lot of freedom to express myself. Instinctively I felt into the wicket and just a change of pace was the way to go here, it worked out beautifully. Credit to everyone who showed up today. Rahul played an amazing knock once again. Rashid and Noor bowled beautifully, overall complete team effort."
