PCB set to punish Shaheen Afridi for misbehaving with Gary Kirsten
Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has reportedly misbehaved with the team's white-ball head coach Gary Kirsten and other support staff members during the tours of Ireland and England as well as the T20 World Cup 2024. It is likely that the investigation is on and Afridi will be reprimanded if it turns out to be true.
Afridi is the team's leading fast bowler and a genuine wicket-taker as well. He didn't have a great time in the T20 World Cup, where he picked up 5 wickets in four matches despite playing in bowler-friendly conditions.

Shaheen Afridi likely to be reprimanded after misbehaving with Gary Kirsten
The report claimed that Shaheen Afridi behaved in an inappropriate manner with head coach Gary Kirsten and assistant coach Azhar Mahmood but no action was taken by the team managers at that time.
"Shaheen misbehaved with the coaches and management during recent tours but no action was taken by the team managers on the pacer's inappropriate behaviour," sources told Geo News.
The report added that it was the manager's responsibility to take any action against Shaheen Afridi and it's being investigated why no action had been taken.
"Maintaining discipline in the team was the responsibility of the managers which is why it is being investigated why action was not taken against Shaheen despite misbehaving," the report stated.
The probe is on and it is likely that Shaheen Afridi will be reprimanded if the report turns out to be true.
The report also states that the PCB is probing the players who have formed their lobbies. The team's coaches have also complained to the PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi about the disciplinary issues of the players on recent tours.
"The board is also probing players who have lobbies and the benefit that is being gained from it. Sources have further said that the team's coaches have complained to the PCB chairman about the non-seriousness of players and disciplinary violations in recent tours," the report further added.
Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq sacked after Pakistan's disastrous campaign
Meanwhile, Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq have been sacked from their respective roles by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the team's disastrous campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024. There are no updates on skipper Babar Azam's captaincy tenure as of now and he is likely to continue as of now.
Pakistan had a disastrous T20 World Cup 2024 campaign where they lost the first two games to USA and India. In the match against the USA, Mohammad Amir was chosen to bowl the Super Over instead of Shaheen Afridi, who is seen as the team's most important bowler.
Pakistan went on to lose the game as Amir panicked under pressure and conceded 18 runs in the Super Over, which included seven runs off wides. In the next game, the Men in Green lost narrowly to arch-rivals India by 6 runs. Despite winning their next two games against Canada and Ireland, Pakistan found itself one point short of the USA and could not make it to the Super 8 stage.
