Peter Nevill Made his Debut in 2015

Nevill last played for Australia in 2016 against South Africa at home, a series which Australia lost. Nevill was dropped after the series as he lost his place to Matthew Wade. He was handed his test cap in the 2015 Ashes series. Nevill never played an ODI for Australia but he featured in 9 T20Is for them in his short international career.

As far as this season is concerned Nevill revealed that it’s been a frustrating season for him as he thinks he has missed more games this season due to injury than in other seasons combined.

“I’m very proud that I was able to play for Australia, and that I was able to play for such a long time for New South Wales. I’d like to think that I was able to squeeze as much juice out of my orange as I could. For a bloke with minimal talent and no shots, I leave the game pretty content, said Nevill in a statement.

He further said, “I’ve been fortunate to have played for as long as I have. It is hard to condense (my career) into something short and sweet. However, there are the opportunities I’ve had, the experiences, the people I’ve met, being able to travel the world, the ups, and downs. Something that stands out is the very special people I’ve met, and there was no shortage of them at the Blues (NSW).”

Nevill believes that he gave all he had as a player. He used up all the ingredients that he had as a cricketer.
