Philip Salt went unsold in the IPL Auction 2024 on December 19, 2023 in Dubai. Philip Salt is a highly-rated opening batsman who is known for his aggressive batting. He recently grabbed the attention by smashing a stunning unbeaten century against West Indies in a T20I.
The England batter has played just one season in the IPL so far and managed to make an impact. He was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 2 crore in the IPL 2023 auction and played 9 games in his debut season. In those 9 games, Philip Salt scored 218 runs at a strike rate of almost 164. He also smashed a couple of half-centuries.
