India’s Women’s team bags record ₹90 crore after historic World Cup win
Notably, India’s historic World Cup victory came with record-breaking rewards. The team earned a massive USD 4.48 million (around ₹39.78 crore) from the International Cricket Council (ICC), the highest prize money ever given in any cricket World Cup.
Not just that, the BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia also announced an additional cash reward of ₹51 crore for the entire squad. This amount will be shared among the players, coaches, and support staff as a mark of appreciation for their hard work and dedication that led India to its first-ever Women’s World Cup title.
