Prabhsimran Singh has been one of the best batsmen of IPL 2025. His performance with the bat is one of the key reasons behind Punjab Kings' dominating performance this year.
The wicketkeeper-batsman has completely justified PBKS' decision to retain him. He is currently the leading run-scorer for the franchise in the 18th season of the IPL.
Prabhsimran Singh has been firing with the bat
In 11 games so far, Prabhsimran Singh has scored 437 runs at an average of almost 40 and a strike-rate of 170.
On Sunday (May 4), he smashed 91 runs off just 48 balls that helped PBKS thrash Lucknow Super Giants by 38 runs and move to the second spot in the points table.
It was his third fifty in a row as he became only the third player after KL Rahul and Chris Gayle to hit three consecutive fifties for the Punjab-based outfit.

Prabhsimran Singh's father battling failing kidneys:
While Prabhsimran Singh is making a big impact on the field in the ongoing IPL 2025, not many know that the Punjab Kings opener is going through a turbulent time in his personal life.
While Prabhsimran Singh has been grabbing all the limelight for his batting this season, his father Sardar Surjit Singh is on dialysis as both of his kidneys are failing.
While Singh senior is bedridden, it has not stopped him from following his son's exploits in the IPL. Satwinderpal Singh, elder brother of Surjit Singh, revealed how Prabhsimran's batting is the only thing that makes his father smile nowadays.
"The only time he smiles these days is when he sees Prabhsimran bat in the IPL," Satwinderpal Singh told TimesofIndia.com.
"He is going through dialysis thrice a week. As an elder brother I can't see the pain he is enduring. I have to step out of the house when the doctors come home for the dialysis. Not a day has gone by that I have not prayed that it should not be my younger brother," said Satwinderpal.
Prabhsimran's father continuously watching him bat
Speaking further, Satwinderpal opened up on how he makes sure to watch every PBKS match with his younger brother.
"Before every Punjab Kings match, I carry him to the living room. We watch the match together, and every time the camera is on Simmu, he smiles. If Simmu scores, he keeps on smiling and laughing. In those moments, he forgets the pain he is in. If Simmu plays a rash shot, he shouts, 'khotte aaram naal khel (play sensibly)."
"Simmu video called on Monday morning to take an update about Surjit. And my brother gave him back by saying why he threw away his wicket after getting so close to the hundred," said Satwinderpal.
"While shouting at Simmu, he gasps for breath. Every time I have to intervene and tell him to praise the kid, because he is playing so well," he added.
With form on his side, Prabhsimran will be eager to continue his fine run with the bat not only for his team but also to put a smile on his ailing father's face.
