Praful Hinge shocks Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel; Dismisses them for ducks in SRH vs RR clash

Sunrisers Hyderabad debutant pacer Praful Hinge sets the stage on fire with the greatest first over ever bowled in the history of the IPL. He becomes the first bowler in TATA IPL 2026 to have dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for a golden duck.

Rajasthan Royals have the best batting lineup of this edition of the IPL, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Dhruv Jurel adding to the strength of this massive batting lineup that has been running a rampage across any venue they played in the initial matches of this IPL season.

On the contrary, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have been known to have one of the weakest bowling sides in this IPL. They have repeatedly failed to defend 200+ totals, and hence, despite their batters putting up a high score, not much of a chance was handed to them.

SRH debutant sends Vaibhav Sooryavanshi packing for a Golden duck

It's a dream debut for the Sunrisers Hyderabad debutant pacer Praful Hinge, who was at his absolute high when he was handed the new ball by skipper Ishan Kishan. He kept the faith shown by the skipper and did what many greats of the game couldn't.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the 15-year-old master who had smashed the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, Matt Henry, Kagiso Rabada and more, miscued a pull shot as Hinge dismissed him with a surprise bouncer on the very first ball he faced.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi being out for a duck, that too without scoring, is not only glory for the bowler but also a massive plus for the bowling side, who are defending a high score in front of the in-form RR batters.

An iconic first-ever in the IPL; Hinge destroys RR's top order

Rajasthan Royals' top 3 have been the main contributors for them with the bat this season, as they are all part of that orange cap leaderboard in the top 10 positions. However, Praful Hinge was shocked by that dangerous-looking lineup.

He dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on his first ball and then never looked back, making it one of the most historic overs bowled in the history of the competition. He cramped Jurel for room, who chopped one down at the stumps in the same over.

Lastly, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, the South African left-hander making his IPL debut, was also dismissed in the final ball of the same over, making it a three-wicket first over for the debutant.

After the bowler's stunning first over, where he gave away just that one single and then picked three wickets, he returned with the second over of his spell. By that time, Yashasvi Jaiswal, another dangerous batter, was dismissed by another debutant, Sakib Hussain, from the other end.

A tight second over from the bowler helped him build pressure on the RR skipper Riyan Parag, who has, anyway, not had the best of seasons with the bat. Parag released the pressure with a boundary of the penultimate delivery, while the bowler retaliated stunningly.

He then bowled a delivery right at the slot, and the batter, looking to drive it, edged it to Abhishek Sharma in the first slip. Abhishek grabbed a smart catch, showing some good reflexes to hand RR another massive blow, as they had five batters back to the pavilion with fewer than 10 runs on the board.
