The young Karnataka batter hammered 46 fours and three sixes in his marathon innings. His stellar performance contributed to Karnataka reaching a colossal total of 890 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 223 overs in their first innings before making the declaration.
Prakhar surpassed Yuvraj Singh‘s 24-year-old record of 358 runs. In 1999, Yuvraj scored a triple century, amassing 40 boundaries and six sixes against Bihar, leading Punjab to a total of 839. Bihar had managed to score 357 in their first innings during that match.

Karnataka Secure The Title As The Match Ends In Draw
Mumbai posted a total of 380 runs in the final against Karnataka, with Ayush Mhatre contributing 145 runs and Ayush Sachin Vartak adding 73 runs. Pratik Yadav also played a role with 30 runs. Hardik Raj emerged as their most successful bowler with four wickets. Samit Dravid, son of Rahul Dravid, also took two wickets for Karnataka.
Karnataka made a strong start to their innings in the final, with openers Prakhar and Karthik, who scored 50 off 67 balls, building a partnership of 109 runs. Prakhar then joined forces with Harshil Dharmani (169), establishing a solid partnership of 290 runs. Karthikeya (72), Samit (22), and Hardik Raj (51) contributed to Karnataka’s total.
On the back of Prakhar Chaturvedi’s monumental innings, Karnataka took a commanding lead of 510 runs in the first innings, securing the championship in the U19 four-day tournament. The match concluded in a draw after Karnataka’s declaration on the fourth day.
