India has resumed training for the second test to be played against England at Edgbaston, scheduled for the 2nd of July. The Indian side is looking to make a comeback after a loss in the first test despite some great performances.

India had gone through some common problems, one of them being the lack of support for Jasprit Bumrah in the bowling deck.

However, if there were one bowler who could make an impact on the game with his bowling other than Bumrah in the Leeds test, cricket fans would undoubtedly pin their votes on Prasidh Krishna.

Prasidh Krishna skips India nets

However, in a recently circulated social media image, both Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna have been found absent from India's training nets.

With possibly Jasprit Bumrah missing the second test owing to workload management, there has also been a concern over Krishna's availability at Edgbaston after the incident.

Journalist Sahil Malhotra, associated with the Times of India, posted the first picture of India nets in Birmingham after the loss at Leeds. Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh were the missing members of the team.

Who can be India's probable options to replace Prasidh at Birmingham?

India is currently in England for the five-match test series. They have picked the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Jasprit Bumrah as pacers for the England tests.

The first test at Headingley marked the presence of Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj as India's first three priority pacers, while Shardul Thakur was picked as the bowling all-rounder and the fourth seam option.

Citing Prasidh Krishna's absence from the Indian nets, he might be replaced by the likes of players Arshdeep Singh or Akash Deep, as both these players were seen in the Birmingham nets. However, there might be slim chances that both bowlers find a place in India's playing 11 at Edgbaston.

Mohammed Siraj toils hard in the nets with the bat in hand

Mohammed Siraj has been a star for India in the red-ball format; however, in recent times, he has seen a serious dip in his performance with the ball. Siraj would have to take more responsibility in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah; hence, he should level up with his practice sessions.

However, in the Birmingham nets, he was recently spotted with the willow. India faced a humiliating saga down the batting order in the first test, and if they got on to start with 5 bowlers in the 2nd test, then the likes of India's no. 8 and no. 9 will have to show some resistance with the bat.

Mohammed Siraj would probably step into the role as India's vital batter down the order; hence, he looks to bat for long sessions in the nets.
