Praveen Kumar’s accident second one in Indian cricket in less than a year:
A few months ago, the cricketing world was rocked by a major car accident involving India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. In December last year, Pant was on his way to home to surprise his mother on new year’s occasion when his car crashed into the road divider and caught fire after he dozed off at the wheel on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.
Pant suffered serious burn and other injuries and is still recovering. While he has joined the National Cricket Academy for his rehabilitation programme, he is unlikely to return to action any time soon.
