Preity Zinta CONFIRMS new role for Yuzvendra Chahal amid IPL 2026

Amidst Punjab Kings’ unbeaten run this season, Preity Zinta decided to directly interact with fans on social media. She started a fun chat session and invited questions from everyone through PZ Chat.

She wrote on her X handle (formerly Twitter): “Today seems like a perfect day for an impromptu #pzchat! Bring on the questions, folks. #Ting."

Fans quickly joined in, and the session started trending on the platform. Yuzvendra Chahal also jumped in with a funny request. The PBKS leg-spinner jokingly asked the actress if he could get a chance to open the batting for her franchise in one match.

Replying to Chahal, Zinta showed her fun side by highlighting how PBKS’ top order is so strong and there is no place for the spinner as an opener this season. However, after the end of the IPL 2026, she will convince Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh to allow Chahal to open.

Recently, they pulled off a stunning run chase against Delhi Capitals. Chasing a huge target of 264 runs, Punjab completed the chase with seven balls to spare and six wickets in hand. It was one of the biggest and most exciting chases in T20 cricket history.

Preity Zinta spotted at Connaught Place temple after PBKS' big win over DC

Meanwhile, Preity Zinta recently took some time to visit a Hanuman temple in Connaught Place, New Delhi. Following PBKS’ massive win over Delhi Capitals, she went to seek blessings. A video from the temple showed her arriving on the stairs while covering part of her face with a dupatta.

She was dressed in a simple baby pink traditional outfit and looked in a hurry during the visit. Preity spent some time offering prayers and also interacted with a few people present there. Her peaceful and spiritual side was clearly visible as the clip went viral on social media.
