India’s squad for Asia Cup 2023 is all set to be announced by Ajit Agarkar and Captain Rohit Sharma on August 21, 2023, via a Press Conference. Jasprit Bumrah has become the frontrunner to be the vice-captain of team India for Asia Cup 2023 as per the latest media reports.
Asia Cup 2023 is set to commence later this month. India is a strong team in the tournament who are also among the favorites to win the title. During the tournament, India is part of Group A with Pakistan and Nepal.

Middle-Order- Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav
Since there are doubts over Shreyas Iyer’s availability for Asia Cup 2023, selectors might induct a fit player into their squad. Hence, Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli can take up the middle order.
Kohli has shown wonderful form in 2023, hitting multiple centuries and match-winning knocks. Yadav has struggled in ODIs but has fabulous strength in T20Is. Since has played many ODI games for India this year, selectors might pick him to replace Iyer in Asia Cup.
Wicket-keepers- Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan
For wicket-keepers, Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan are highly likely to get a place in Asia Cup 2023. Since Rishabh Pant cannot make it to the tournament and KL Rahul is also uncertain to play, Samson and Kishan are the best choices. Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel are the strong choices of all-rounders for India in the Asia Cup 2023. They have played many games in 2023 and showcased an amazing form with both bat and ball.
Hardik Pandya is also the vice-captain of the team. Being a medium-pacer, he gives a lot of support in the pace department. Ravindra Jadeja and Patel are spin all-rounders. With their off-spin, they can trouble the batters. They can also slam big shots like batting.
Spinners- Yuzvendra Chahal & Kuldeep Yadav
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav will be two spinners for India in Asia Cup 2023. Yadav is the leading wicket-taker in ODIs in 2023. Hence, he is highly likely to be part of the squad in the tournament.
