PSL broadcast in jeopardy as Indian crew ordered to leave Pakistan following Pahalgam terror attack

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a massive step amid the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 and is all set to face a massive setback. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that the Indian nationals in the broadcasting team have been asked to leave the country following the terror attack in Pahalgam.

In what was a devastating development, terrorists in the Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir launched attacks on tourists on Tuesday (22nd April). As many as 26 people lost their lives while several others were injured, and it sent a massive shockwave across the globe.

Following that, the Indian government has taken massive steps and has decided to curtail its relationship with Pakistan. The Narendra Modi-led government asked all Pakistani nationals in India to leave the country within 48 hours.

Not only this, India is also planning to curtail the sporting ties with Pakistan as BCCI reportedly has approached the ICC about not placing India and Pakistan in the same group in the ICC events. Amid this, Pakistan has also come up with a clear message.

All the Indian broadcast crew of the league have been asked to leave. The source claimed that steps are being taken to replace them. Speaking to PTI about the same, he said:

"Since more than two dozen of the production and broadcast crew of the PSL, included Indian nationals. Steps are being taken to replace them. The broadcast and production crew includes engineers, production managers, cameramen, and player-tracking experts (all Indian nationals), who ensure a smooth coverage of the PSL."

National Security Council in Pakistan announced that all Indian nationals in Pakistan should leave the country

This comes after the National Security Council, after a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, announced that all Indian nationals in Pakistan should leave the country in the next 48 hours. The source also claimed that PCB and the PSL have discussed the option of replacing the Indian nationals in the crew as soon as possible.

Not only this, but the Indian nationals in the crew have also been told to restrict their movements until they can leave Pakistan.

Earlier today, Fancode removed all content of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) from its website. The platform won't be telecasting the league after what happened in Pahalgam, where 26 civilians lost their lives. The platform telecasted the first 13 matches of the Pakistan Super League.
