Former Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has relished a legacy alongside Virat Kohli, as the two have almost shared the dressing room throughout their entire careers. They are one of the World's most successful batting pairs in ODI cricket history.
India and their fans have once again witnessed why Virat Kohli is called the GOAT, irrespective of any generation of cricket. Kohli's 135 in Ranchi not only redefined him as a cricketer but also established the fact that class is permanent and age is just a number.
Not only did Kohli hit a ton, but he also took care that his innings looked ever aggressive. He scored a hundred and smashed a total of 18 boundaries in his innings, of which 7 were sixes. Kohli once again set the standards very high with his bullet speed between the wickets.
Rohit Sharma celebrates Virat Kohli's hundred with some irrefutable aggression
Almost 50% or more of the runs in Virat's 135-run innings came when he was batting in a partnership alongside opener Rohit Sharma. Rohit, who himself relishes the tag of the aggressor, simply kept low and witnessed Kohli charge down the track like never before.
The duo put on another 100-run partnership, and during this course, Kohli went past his half-century mark. With Rohit on the other end, Kohli looked unstoppable, but after his dismissal, the innings went down a bit slower and more sensibly, which was probably the right thing to do.
While Rohit sat on the Indian dressing room's balcony, he celebrated Virat Kohli's hundred with equal aggression as that of the Indian legend and then went all smiles. He stood up and clapped his hands as a mark of joy.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are now the second-most successful batting pair in ODIs
Setting new standards even at the ages of 37 and 38, respectively, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma not only added 100+ runs in a partnership for India but also went past the former tally of runs for the former Sri Lanka duo Dilshan and Sangakkara in partnerships in ODI cricket.
Hence, they are now the second-highest scoring pair in a partnership with 5619* runs and have also stood firm with 20 century partnerships, which is also the joint second-highest for the game. They are only behind the former Indian players Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar.
Virat Kohli is the new highest centurion in a single format
With the latest Ranchi century, India's greatest ever ODI batter has climbed a new stair and set a new record. Virat scored his 52nd century in the 50-over format and his 83rd overall. With the 52nd century, he now has the most tons in a single edition of the game.
Kohli has gone past Sachin Tendulkar's record of most hundreds in a single format, as he has as many as 51 of them in red-ball international cricket. This seems to be one of those records that might be unbreakable for a long time in the history of the game.
