The Punjab Kings squad is set to be bolstered by the addition of four overseas stars ahead of the playoffs of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025).

ESPNcricinfo has reported that Australian trio Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, and Aaron Hardie along with New Zealand star Kyle Jamieson, will join the squad on Tuesday (May 20) after arriving in India on the same day.

All four are available for selection right away and will be in contention to play Punjab Kings' next game against Delhi Capitals on May 24. Punjab have already qualified for the playoffs and are now eyeing a top-two finish that will give them two chances to qualify for the final.

Stoinis and Inglis have played for Punjab earlier this season, while Jamieson and Hardie are yet to play. Jamieson was not a part of the original squad but was later signed up as an injury replacement for his compatriot Lockie Ferguson.

Stoinis has played 8 games so far and has scored a modest 82 runs. On the other hand, Inglis has played 6 games and scored 92 runs. While Hardie and Jamieson are yet to play this season, one of them is likely to be in action in the playoffs when Marco Jansen leaves IPL for national duty.

A memorable season for Punjab Kings:

Punjab Kings have enjoyed a brilliant campaign so far and will be aiming to go all the way and end their long wait for an IPL trophy. The franchise completely overhauled its squad after years of failure, and its decisions have paid off so far.

Signing Shreyas Iyer and naming him the captain has turned out to be a masterstroke. The India star, who led Kolkata Knight Riders to the title last season, has enhanced his reputation as a captain by taking Punjab Kings to the playoffs. The Punjab-based outfit has qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2014.

They are now in contention to finish in the top two. With 17 points from 12 games, Punjab are currently in the third spot in the table. They have a good chance of finishing in the top two if they manage to win their remaining two league games.

Their next game is against Delhi Capitals on May 24 before they lock horns against Mumbai Indians in their final league game on May 26.
