Rajasthan Royals go insane in CSK trade, bypass IPL rules and then remember massive blunder

Rajasthan Royals have stuck midway through the Samson-Jadeja deal due to the involvement of an overseas player, Sam Curran, as a part of the deal. The Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals initiated their deal on the swap between the two great players.
This deal featured the two veterans from the two teams, since the Super Kings wanted to bolster their top order with an Indian wicket-keeper batsman and the Rajasthan Royals, who faltered in chasing targets in death overs.
The Rajasthan Royals are stuck in the Samson-Jadeja trade
The much-talked-about Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings deal, which features Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja from the two teams, has not been executed as of now, despite a 48-hour period since the deal initiation.
Both teams are yet to receive a formal request for approval. The delay has been learned to be a procedural complication because of the inclusion of a third player in the deal, who is overseas.
The Royals' overseas quota is already full; hence, they cannot accommodate Sam Curran without releasing one from their roster.
Hence, as a result of this, the Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja swap between the two teams cannot be completed, and the Royals cite the 15th of November as a deadline when they can release their previous players.
Sri Lankan players to be sold ahead of mini-auction
The Royals seemingly had a wide band of cricketers in their overseas pool, which comprises Jofra Archer, Shimron Hetmyer, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Kwena Maphaka, Nandre Burger, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, in addition to 14 Indian players.
Sam Curran is slotted at a price of INR 2.4 crores, and the Royals do not have anything more than just INR 30 lakhs, which is not sufficient to acquire the services of the English all-rounder.
The Royals currently have 22 players and still have a few more slots left in the squad, which might be filled by three more players, with the permitted squad strength being 25. Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga's release could possibly make way for Samson both in terms of team spot and the money required as well.
The Sri Lanka duo can bring in a purse of 9.65 crore to the Rajasthan Royals camp if released ahead of the mini-auction.
Ravindra Jadeja can be the next RR captain
CSK veteran all-rounder can be slotted in as the next captain of the Rajasthan Royals, as per some reports. Riyan Parag has always been considered RR's next skipper, as he captained them in Samson's absence the previous season.
Later, alongside Parag, other players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel's names also surfaced in the captaincy debate, but nothing was made official from the Royals camp. After Samson's release, they might be looking for an experienced head, and Jadeja will be the most capped player in the squad.
However, as of now, the deal is on hold and cannot be processed until the Royals release some of their overseas players.
