Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be looking to bounce back when they take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 36th game of IPL 2025. The match is scheduled to be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday (April 19).

Rajasthan Royals are coming into this game on the back of a heartbreaking defeat in their last game. Chasing 189 runs against Delhi Capitals, RR needed only 9 runs in the final over with Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer in the middle.

However, the duo could score only 8 runs before DC beat Rajasthan Royals in the Super Over. It was RR's fifth defeat in seven games this season, and the Rajasthan-based outfit will be desperate to win the upcoming game.

Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c & wk)

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson are set to be the openers in the RR Playing 11 for the upcoming game. With RR staring down the barrel and in desperate need of a win, the onus will be on the star duo to give their team a good start with the bat.

In the previous game against DC, they added 61 runs for the opening wicket. The partnership came to an end only after Samson had to retire hurt. RR will be hoping that the injury was not serious and their captain leads them from the front in the upcoming game.

Samson also delivered an update on his injury after the game, saying: "It feels alright (his injury). I wasn't just ready to come back and bat. It feels alright now. We will observe it tomorrow and see how it is."

Jaiswal, on the other hand, went on to score a fifty. It was his second fifty in a row, and he will be eyeing another impactful outing with the bat.

Middle-order: Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Nitish Rana, Wanindu Hasaranga

Rajasthan Royals' middle-order had a disappointing outing with the bat in the previous game, and the batters will be eyeing a better show. Barring Nitish Rana, most of the other players failed to make a positive impact in the game.

Rana scored 51 runs off just 28 balls and put his team in a good spot. However, the likes of Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, and Shimron Hetmyer failed to impress. Parag was out for just 8 runs while Jurel and Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 26 and 15 respectively. Jurel and Hetmyer could not score 9 runs in the last over that eventually cost RR the game.

Wanindu Hasaranga is set to be the main allrounder in the RR Playing 11. The Sri Lanka star did not get the chance to bat in the last game. With the ball, he picked up 1 wicket for 38 runs.

Bowlers: Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande
