Rashid Khan becomes the first, fastest, and youngest spinner in history to complete 600 T20 wickets

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan etched his name in records during the match between the Trent Rockets and the Manchester Originals in the Men's Hundred 2024. Rashid Khan became the first spinner and overall the second bowler after West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo to complete 600 wickets in the shorter format of the game.
Rashid Khan has been a consistent performer across various global leagues in recent years. The star Afghanistan skipper joined the Trent Rockets after his stint with MI New York in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 season. He picked up two wickets in his maiden appearance in this year's Men's Hundred.
The 25-year-old bowler conceded just 24 runs off 20 deliveries, including dot balls. Rashid scored 15 runs off nine balls, including two sixes. The Rockets secured a narrow one-run victory while defending 145 runs in Manchester on Monday, July 29. The Rockets moved to second place in the table with four points.
Rashid Khan Completes 600 Wickets In T20 Cricket
Rashid Khan is the second bowler to reach 600 T20 wickets. He is both the youngest and the fastest to achieve this milestone. He reached the milestone in just 438 innings. He has taken 600 wickets at an average of 18.25 and an economy rate of 6.47. He has played for nearly 20 teams since his T20I debut in 2015.
Dwayne Bravo leads the bowling charts in the shorter format with 630 wickets in 543 T20 innings. Sunil Narine is in third place with 557 wickets in 519 matches at an economy rate of 6.12. Veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir has 502 wickets in 405 matches, followed by Shakib Al Hasan with 492 wickets in 444 matches.

Rashid Khan has taken 152 wickets in 93 T20 International matches at an average of 14.14 and an economy rate of 6.08. In the IPL, he has claimed 149 wickets in 121 games at an average of 21.82. Rashid played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from 2017 to 2021 before joining the Gujarat Titans (GT) in 2022.
