Ravindra Jadeja Fits Perfectly in The Combination: Nikhil Chopra
While speaking on his Khelneeti podcast on Youtube, Nikhil Chopra said that Ravindra Jadeja will always be the first preference for India in overseas Tests. He also praised Jadeja’s ability to complete his overs quickly, which gives extra time to pacers.
“You can get World Test Championship points docked for a slow over-rate. So it is crucial that Jadeja plays because he ends his overs quickly and gives the pacers that extra time. So he fits perfectly in the combination.
“I feel Ravindra Jadeja will always be the first preference to play overseas for any captain. This is because he finishes his overs quickly and you can see the consistency in his batting and the balance that he provides to the side,” Chopra said.

India defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in the 1st Test. India batted first in the match and posted 574-8 (d) in 1st innings. Ravindra Jadeja (175*), Rishabh Pant (96), Ravichandran Ashwin (61), and Hanuma Virari played good knocks for the team.
