Rawalpindi Pindiz appoints Justin Kemp as their new head coach ahead of PSL 2026. The PSL has expanded from being a six-team tournament to being a new eight-team tournament, and the Rawalpindi Pindiz is among the new franchises.
The team was formed after the rebranding of the former franchise, Multan Sultans, but they have appointed their former skipper, Mohammad Rizwan, as the captain of the side for the upcoming season as well.
The PSL will be starting on the 26th of March, with the franchise based in Rawalpindi will be playing the first game against the Peshawar Zalmi on the 28th of March. Naseem Shah was the costliest player for them in the auction.

The rebranded side will play their matches at the same Rawalpindi Stadium. They have appointed former South African all-rounder Justin Kemp as their head coach for the upcoming season.
Kemp has formerly worked closely with the Western Province as their batting coach and pace bowling consultant. He has also worked for Chattogram as their head coach. Internationally, he has served the Namibian team as the assistant coach during a tour to Canada in 2025.
The Multan Sultans have previously won the competition back in 2021, and finished as the runners-up back in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Pindiz signs West Indies legend as bowling coach
Rawalpindi have signed the West Indian legendary pacer Courtney Walsh as their bowling coach. This is a huge move by the franchise, since the youngsters of the team will be largely motivated under the legendary paceman.
Many young Pakistani pacers will be practicing in the nets for the Rawalpindi side as well, who will have a lot to learn from the gifted West Indian pacer. Walsh served as the bowling coach of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team back in September 2016; under him, bowlers like Rubel Hossein, Mustafizur Rahman, and Taskin Ahmed.
He was then appointed the interim head coach in February 2018, before being replaced by Chandika Hathurusingha in 2018. He also served as the national head coach of the West Indies Women's Team between October 2020 and the 2023 World Cup.

The Rawalpindi have made several massive appointments, which also include the president and mentor of the team, Inzamam-ul-Haq. The former captain will be seeing the overall team dynamics and will be monumental to the success of young cricketers.
Justin Kemp, the batting and bowling expert, would be seen as the head coach and have a dual role, while Abdur Rehman is appointed the head of competitive strategy and assistant coach. Courtney Walsh will be the bowling consultant.
Shahid Aslam is appointed as the coach of high performance. While fielding coach Rafatullah Mohmmad is an interesting appointment for the role.
