RCB are playing their eighth game of the season and their first reverse fixture of IPL 2024. They take on Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, April 21.

RCB lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous match. They were taken for 287 runs in their previous match by SRH batters as their bowlers did not have any answers.

Though their batters took the team to 262 in the run-chase, they still lost the match by 25 runs. The RCB think tank is currently confused as to what kind of bowling attack to field in the games that they are playing.

None of the bowlers who are playing the game can restrict the opposition team from scoring big against them. One major issue with them is that they are not using many spinners in their bowling attack.

Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell is expected to be away from this contest after he has opted to take a break following his poor run in this IPL.

Skipper Faf du Plessis at every post-match presentation is finding it tough to explain the reason behind the team's loss. They have lost five on the trot heading into this game. Making the playoffs is already difficult from here on and if they lose this game, it will be even tougher.
