Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 65th match of IPL 2025. This article provides details about RCB's Playing 11 vs SRH for match 65 of IPL 2025.
RCB Playing 11 vs SRH- IPL 2025, Match 65:
Openers: Jacob Bethell, Virat Kohli
English all-rounder Jacob Bethell is expected to open the innings with former Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Virat Kohli, who is among the leading run scorers in the current IPL edition.
The duo will look to give Royal Challengers Bengaluru a solid start against a SRH bowling lineup that has shown signs of form in the last couple of matches and will look to build on that.
Bethall has fulfilled his role of playing in an attacking manner to perfection and will look to keep up the good work in the upcoming match.
Virat is coming on the back of a match-winning half century against CSK at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and would like to deliver another solid performance against SRH.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Mayank Agarwal, Rajat Patidar (c), Romario Shepherd, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Krunal Pandya
RCB will be without the services of their in-form number three batter Devdutt Padikkal, who was able to keep the momentum going in the batting provided by the opening pair.
Padikkal picked up an injury in a training session before the league got suspended midway, and has been replaced by Mayank Agarwal, who will come straight into the playing XI against SRH.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru also had to deal with another injury scare when the news of their captain Rajat Patidar injuring his finger broke out.
Having said that, Patidar is expected to feature in the clash against SRH on Friday and will play an integral part in holding the innings together while batting in the middle order.
The right-hander is a vital part of RCB's middle order and started the season with good knocks against MI and CSK.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru would like hard-hitting batter Romario Shepherd, who will link up with the West Indies after the league stage, to help the team register a win in the remaining two matches.
The onus will also be on Tim David and Jitesh Sharma to once again get things right for RCB while batting in the final five overs.
Bowlers: Suyash Sharma, Yash Dayal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood
Royal Challengers Bengaluru would be elated by the availability of Josh Hazlewood, who has been the pick of the bowlers for the team so far in the tournament, and will hope for him to deliver yet another match-winning performance.
Having said that, Royal Challengers Bengaluru would want a fully fit Josh Hazlewood to take the field against SRH as the fast bowler has been nursing an injury.
If Hazlewood is not able to recover in time, RCB would rope in Lungi Ngidi, who will be replaced by Blessing Muzarabani after this particular game.
The spin department of Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be handled by Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma, both of whom have done a decent job in the middle overs.
