Almost 3 months after the stampede tragedy turned the most joyous day in RCB history into a nightmare for the RCB fans, the team has made an official post on their X handle, ending their months-long absence and showing that they care for their fans and have claimed to be grieving for their community.
After Royal Challengers Bangalore attained their much-awaited IPL title in the 2025 edition, they looked overjoyed, and so did their fans. The victory parade and the celebrations were scheduled at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the home ground of the Red Devils.
However, the overjoyed people had overcrowded the venue, and the authorities could not manage the load of people, which led to the death of 11 people. This Stampede had turned the joyous event into a nightmare, and received widespread criticism as well as several strict steps taken by the authorities.
RCB Shows 'Care' with Tweet 3 months after Stampede tragedy
Following the Stampede, RCB were absent from the social media circles, as they made no posts on their official X handle, marking an absence of 84 days. However, they have finally broken their silence and have come forward with a post announcing a new initiative for their fans after the tragic incident.
"Dear 12th Man Army, this is our heartfelt letter to you!
𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.
The Silence wasn’t Absence. It was Grief. This space was once filled with energy, memories and moments that you enjoyed the most.. But June 4th changed everything. That day broke our hearts, and the silence since then has been our way of holding space."
"In that silence, we’ve been grieving. Listening. Learning. And slowly, we’ve begun to build something more than just a response. Something we truly believe in," RCB Tweets.
They have also announced a new platform named 'RCB Cares,' which would focus on meaningful action shaped by the RCB community and fans. This is to honour the memory of those who lost their lives in the stampede.
"That’s how 𝗥𝗖𝗕 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 came to life. It grew out of a need to honour, to heal, and to stand beside our fans. A platform for meaningful action shaped by our community & fans."
"We return to this space today, not with celebration but with care. To share. To stand with you, to walk forward, together. To continue being the pride of Karnataka. 𝗥𝗖𝗕 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦. And we always will," RCB wrote in their official post.

M Chinnaswamy Stadium sustained the biggest blow after the Stampede incident
Though the incident fueled actions against everybody involved, including the Karnataka State Cricket Association, the Royal Challengers management, the Management company DNA, and also the police authorities. However, the main blow has been sustained by the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The Justice Cunha commission has ruled out Chinnaswamy as a safe venue for hosting any mass events, and hence, the ground has lost its hosting rights for the upcoming ICC Women's World Cup in India. Even the MAharaja T20 was shifted out of the venue; hence, the Royal Challengers Bangalore might soon be losing their home ground.
RCB have shown some interest in the trade window despite social media absence
Despite their absence from social media, the Royal Challengers have shown keen interest in some players in the trade window, which has been activated for the upcoming IPL season. The defending champions would be eyeing to fix one or two loopholes they had in the previous season.
Venkatesh Iyer, whom they had to leave to an insane bid made by the Kolkata Knight Riders, has been under the radar for the Royal Challengers, though the all-rounder batter did not have the best of seasons for KKR in 2025. They might look to acquire his services through the Trade window.
