Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli is set to achieve a massive milestone during their penultimate league stage match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Virat Kohli will become the first player to represent a single franchise in 250 matches in IPL history.

The Bengaluru-based team will face the Delhi Capitals, led by Rishabh Pant, in the 62nd match of the IPL 2024 at their home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, on Sunday, May 12. It's a must-win encounter for both teams to be in contention for the playoff stages of the ongoing T20 tournament.

Virat Kohli Set To Represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru In 250 Matches

Virat Kohli will become the fourth cricketer to play 250 matches in the history of the IPL. Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni, Mumbai Indians (MI) opening batter Rohit Sharma, and RCB wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik have played 250 matches in the prestigious tournament.

The 35-year-old batter will become the first-ever cricketer to represent a single franchise in 250 matches. Virat has been part of RCB since the IPL's inception. Dinesh Karthik has played for several teams, including the Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions, Punjab Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders. He returned to RCB in the 2022 mega-auction for his second stint with the team.
