The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are taking on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 67 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 25. Chennai and Gujarat announced their impact players for their final match of the ongoing edition of the marquee tournament.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and chose to bat first in their clash against Gujarat Titans. GT have a chance to finish in the top two on the IPL 2025 points table, securing a place in Qualifier 1. However, a loss could see them slip to the Eliminator depending on the outcomes of the remaining matches.

MS Dhoni admitted that his body requires more upkeep with each passing season. Dhoni also stated that they will remain at the bottom of the table regardless of the match result.

"We will bat first. It (pitch) looks nice and hard, think it will remain the same throughout the 40 overs. It's quite hot, looks like a good track. It's (his body) surviving. Every year is a new challenge. It needs a lot of maintainance. Didn't trouble me enough when I was playing international cricket," Dhoni said.

"Chennai is very nice after 3.30-4pm, this is different heat, on the drier side. We are last in the table, we will still remain last, if win or lose. Need to enjoy our cricket. We have one change. Hooda is back for Ashwin. They are a good side, they play authentic cricket. Need to bowl tight lines, otherwise the batters will punish you," he added.

What Happened the Last Time GT Played CSK in Ahmedabad Before IPL 2025?

The Gujarat Titans delivered a commanding performance against the Chennai Super Kings in their previous IPL encounter in Ahmedabad before the IPL 2025 season. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan added 58 without loss in the powerplay and built a record 210-run opening stand off just 104 deliveries.

Gill brought up his century in 50 balls, while Sudharsan reached his maiden IPL hundred in the same number of deliveries. GT finished with a total of 231/3. CSK collapsed to 10/3 inside three overs. Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali added a 109-run stand. Mitchell scored 63 from 34 and Moeen hit 56 off 36.

CSK ended on 196/8, falling 35 runs short. Mohit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for GT with three wickets, while Gill earned the Player of the Match award for his explosive hundred.
