The Ajinkya Rahane-led team must win the game to stay alive in the playoff race. They are seventh in the IPL 2025 standings with nine points from 10 matches (four wins and five losses). On the other hand, the Rajasthan Royals are already out of playoff contention with only three wins from 11 matches.
