MI beat CSK by 9 nine wickets
Devon Conway didn't feature in the game against Mumbai Indians. The left-hander last featured for the team on April 11 against Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai. He hasn't been a regular member of the team this year due to the poor run of form that he has had.
Coming to the game, Chennai Super posted a total of total of 176 runs on the board, thanks to then half-centuries by Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja. However, Rohit Sharma (76*) and Suryakumar Yadav (68*) made a mockery of the chase as Mumbai Indians chased the target with nine wickets and more than four overs to spare.
I think it's not going the way we wanted it to be - Jamie Overton
Jamie Overton talked about the Chennai Super Kings campaign, admitting that things haven't gone their way as they would've wanted. He stressed the need to capitalise on the starts for the team, saying that both Ruturaj Gaikwad and MS Dhoni are similar as captains. He said:
"I think it's not going the way we wanted it to be but we still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs. We had a good win in Lucknow and we want to carry on with the momentum. (Previous game vs LSG) I think the bowlers did a really good job to restrict them to a below par score and then MS doing his thing with the bat. I think we are going in the right direction but we still need to improve.
"I have not played much in India but I am really enjoying. Looking forward to tonight and looking forward for a good atmosphere. If I am asked to bowl, I will try to pick a few wickets. Yes, the way Shaik and Rachin batted in the previous game was impressive for us. We need to get a good start and then capitalize in the middle overs. Nah, things are pretty similar. Rutu and MS are pretty similar but nice to have MS back."
