Rishabh Pant breaks silence on rumors of approaching RCB for captaincy

India's wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has claimed that the rumors claiming that he approached Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to be a part of the team are totally false. He is currently a part of Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Pant also slammed the people for spreading fake news on social media and called the users to re-check their untrustworthy sources. Recently, a user named 'Rajiv' claimed that Rishabh Pant has approached RCB through his manager and has an eye on their captaincy.

The user also added that Virat Kohli doesn't want Pant in RCB due to his "political tactics" in Team India. Pant was clearly not happy with fake news at such scale and immediately put a post by slamming it.

Rishabh Pant slams people spreading fake news on social media

Rishabh Pant posted a lengthy post on his X account and denied rumors of him contacting RCB. The 26-year-old also slammed the users who spread fake news on social media with their untrustworthy sources.

"Fake news . Why do you guys spread so much fake news on social media. Be sensible guys so bad . Don’t create untrustworthy environment for no reason. It’s not the first time and won’t be last but I had to put this out .please always re check with your so called sources. Everyday it’s becoming worst . Rest it’s upto you guys . It’s wasn’t just for you it’s for a lot for people who is spreading misinformation. Tc," Pant posted on X (formerly Twitter).

At the time of social media, many unidentified users have put such fake news through their accounts just to gain more attention. This case seems to be like one of them. While the players do not reacts much, Pant decided to slam the user and questioned the source as well.

Rishabh Pant with Delhi Capitals

Rishabh Pant has been associated with Delhi Capitals since the start of his IPL career. He has been an integral part of Delhi Capitals since then and has played many incredible innings for his team.

The wicketkeeper-batter took over from Shreyas Iyer as the full-time DC captain from the IPL 2022 season. Since then, he has led Delhi Capitals in every IPL season apart from IPL 2023 when he was out of the whole season because of the life-threatening accident.

Rishabh Pant has been in good form recently as he smashed a fiery ton on his Test comeback from the accident. He will be key for India in the upcoming Test season where they will play New Zealand at home and Australia in an away series.
