Chopra led the javelin throw qualifiers at the Paris Olympics. Anderson Peters from Grenada, a two-time world champion, finished second with 88.63 meters. Germany's Julian Weber finished third with 87.76 meters. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem also advanced to the finals with a throw of 86.59 meters.
