Rishabh Pant's horrible start to the campaign continued on Tuesday (April 1) as he failed to deliver with the bat in the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Pant is leading LSG this season for the first time and is yet to make an impact with the bat. In his very first game for the franchise, which was against his former team, Delhi Capitals, the wicketkeeper-batsman was out for a duck.

LSG had gone on to lose the game by 1 wicket even after reducing DC to 65/5 while defending 209 runs.

In the second game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, LSG were in the driver's seat chasing 191 runs when Pant walked out to bat. He was under no pressure and had the perfect opportunity to get some runs under his belt. However, the southpaw squandered the opportunity as he departed for 15 runs.

Rishabh Pant flops again:

After two successive failures, Pant got the chance to win the hearts of the LSG fans when he walked out to bat against PBKS on Tuesday. He had to walk out in the middle of the powerplay itself after LSG lost the wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram inside four overs.

Marsh was out for a duck while Markram departed for 28. The stage was set for Pant to announce his arrival as the LSG captain. However, his poor form with the bat continued as he departed for a single-digit score.

PBKS all over LSG

Glenn Maxwell ended Pant's short stay at the crease by sending him back in the fifth over. The PBKS allrounder bowled one outside the leg stump, and Pant had the chance to hit the first boundary of his innings. However, he ended up hitting the ball straight to Yuzvendra Chahal at short fine leg.

As Pant departed for just 2 runs off 5 balls, several cricket fans decided to take a shot at him. Soon after his dismissal, the fans took to X to have some fun at Pant's expense. Here are some of the reactions:
