Indian star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is ready to make a sensational return to international cricket in the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies at home. Rishabh Pant had to miss a few matches on the England tour after sustaining a foot injury in Manchester.
In July 2025, Pant was hit on his right foot by a fast yorker from Chris Woakes while trying to play a reverse sweep shot during the fourth Test match between India and England in Manchester. The blow caused a metatarsal fracture, a serious injury to one of the bones in his foot.

It is being said that the left-handed batter is on track to be fully fit within the next couple of weeks. Medical reports show that Pant has made impressive progress in rehab, and doctors have confirmed that there is no need for surgery after closely monitoring his recovery.
A source close to Pant was quoted as saying by Cric Blogger, “He is recovering well, and it shouldn’t be a problem anymore. He wants to come and play against the West Indies.”
The sources claimed that Rishabh Pant is "confident of featuring in the two-match Test series against the Caribbean side." It is being said that the Indian wicketkeeper-batter has been determined throughout his recovery process. He has been pushing hard in training.

Rishabh Pant returns to light training
