Rishabh Pant's England tour over? Medical bulletin issued

Day 1 of the iconic Lord's test between India and England might have gone both ways, as England batters put on crucial partnerships, while India bowlers struck at vital moments to restrict them from producing a huge score.
However, both teams have faced some concerns with their marquee players facing major injury scares on the field. England skipper Ben Stokes also looked like he was struggling later on Day 1 as the physios rushed out to check on him.
However, the major concern has been for the Indian side, who sweated over a finger injury to Rishabh Pant. Pant is currently one of India's most experienced batters in England, and citing the Lord's pitch, his services as a batter would be of much need to the Baggy Blue.
Rishabh Pant's injury that took him off the field at Lord's
India might have had a mixed day with certain ups and downs; however, they suffered their biggest blow when Jasprit Bumrah bowled a wide ball in the 34th over of the game. India's vice-captain and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant dove to his left to stop the ball down the leg side.
Pant seemed to have injured his finger in an attempt to stop the ball. He looked in sheer discomfort before receiving treatment from the on-field physio. After the initial treatment, Pant continued to keep wickets but left the field after two overs.
He was then reported to be under the supervision of the medical team, as suggested by BCCI officials. When Pant went off the field, he was replaced by young Dhruv Jurel, who did a fairly good job behind the stumps.
'No Big Concerns as of now' - Updates on Rishabh Pant's injury
Though nothing has been made official from the end of BCCI or the Indian side, Rohit Juglan, a journalist associated with RevSportz, has reported that the Indian wicket-keeper is fine as of now.

Though he mentioned that a better picture can be obtained once the swelling is reduced, still, what can be seen points towards Rishabh Pant's probable return to the field on Day 2. After observing him overnight, the Indian side will be deciding whether Rishabh Pant is to take the field or Dhruv Jurel acts as his deputy.
However, if any concerns are felt, India is likely to prioritize Pant as a batter, and hence Jurel might continue as the wicket-keeper.
Can Dhruv Jurel bat at Lord's if Pant is unable to take the field?
Dhruv Jurel was brought in as the keeper-batsman to England; however, he has not been given a chance as of yet. Pant's injury brought him on the field as he took a stunning reflex catch of Ollie Pope off Jadeja's bowling.
Though Jurel can continue as the wicket-keeper if Pant is unable to make a return, he is not allowed to bat according to the sport's laws. Substitutes are allowed only to keep wickets or take a fielding position after permission from the umpires; however, they cannot bat or bowl for the team. The possibility comes only if a player named in the 11 suffers from a concussion injury.
