India's captain Rohit Sharma announced his return to form with a blistering knock against England in the second ODI at Cuttack. Rohit struck his 32nd ODI hundred on the day and took India home almost single-handedly in the run-chase.

After this knock, Rohit's wife Ritika Sajdeh posted a heartwarming story on social media which indicated the importance of this hundred. His India teammates Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav also reacted to this innings and hailed his performance.

Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh posted a heartwarming post for Rohit Sharma after he completed his 32nd ODI century in style. It was clearly an emotional moment for Ritika who has been with Rohit in all these tough times when he was woefully out of form.

"This one hit straight here," Ritika wrote in her Instagram story.

Hardik Pandya also lauded his captain Rohit for lighting up the atmosphere at Cuttack with his blistering knock. Hardik also loved the lively atmosphere at Barabati Stadium and claimed that his captain "stole the show".

India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav was also pleased with Rohit's knock and posted an Instagram story that captioned, "Good things happened to good people. God is great!"

Rohit Sharma always a the ability to score big hundreds and the Indian captain proved yet again that he has still got it. He was under immense pressure coming into this game due to some poor scores in the last few months.

However, he finally announced his return to form in his favourite format and showed why he is regarded so highly. Rohit started his innings in a typical fashion by taking on the bowlers right from the start.

He continuously used his feet and didn't allow England's bowlers to settle down. He was at his six-hitting best which disrupted the rhythm of the bowlers. He wasn't at his best in the initial balls but got the measure of the wicket soon.

The 38-year-old opener made full use of the powerplay restrictions and took India ahead of the required run rate right from the beginning. He brought up his landmark ODI hundred off just 76 balls.

Overall, Rohit smashed 119 off just 90 deliveries with 12 fours and 7 sixes and by the time he got out, he had already taken India to a position of ascendancy. India chased down the target by 4 wickets with more than 5 overs to spare. The Men in Blue have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.

Rohit's form is great news for India ahead of the Champions Trophy where he will be key to India's chances. India's opening game for the Champions Trophy 2025 will be played against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai.
