India Legends won the first-ever Road Safety World Series trophy after beating Sri Lanka Legends by 14 runs in the final of this tournament on Sunday (21st March) night.
After Sri Lanka Legends captain Tillakaratne Dilshan sent India Legends to bat first, the hosts scored 181/4 in 20 overs. Later, Sri Lanka Legends managed to score 167/7 (20 overs).

2nd innings (Sri Lanka Legends): Sri Lanka Legends lost the plot in the middle overs
Sri Lanka Legends openers, skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan and Sanath Jayasuriya provided a powerful start with the 62 runs partnership for the first wicket. But once Dilshan was dismissed, Sri Lanka Legends lost some quick wickets which distracted them from the smooth chasing.
While Dilshan scored 21 runs, Jayasuriya stretched his batting to 43 runs. Yusuf Pathan dismissed both those openers while Irfan Pathan took the wickets of Chamara Silva (2) and Upul Tharanga (13).
When Sri Lanka Legends were struggling on 91/4, Chinthaka Jayasinghe and Kaushalya Weeraratne built up the crucial fifth-wicket partnership of 64 runs, but they ultimately failed to chase in time. While Weeraratne scored 38 off 15 balls (3 fours and 3 sixes) before Manpreet Gony took his wicket, Jayasinghe was run-out on 40 runs off 30 balls.
Yusuf Pathan had bowling figures of 4-0-26-2 while Irfan Pathan had bowling figures of 4-0-29-2.
1st innings (India Legends): Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan guided India Legends to the challenging total
Rangana Herath bowled Virender Sehwag very early in the third over when the Indian opener scored only 10 runs. Subramaniam Badrinath scored 2 runs as Sanath Jayasuriya took his wicket in the fifth over of the innings.
However, captain Sachin Tendulkar set up the strong start and scored 30 off 23 balls with the help of 5 fours. When Farveez Maharoof dismissed Tendulkar in the 10.3 overs, India Legends were batting on 78/3.
Then Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan built the 85 runs partnership for the fourth wicket. In the 19th over, when Kaushalya Weeraratne got the wicket of Yuvraj, the left-handed batsman already scored 60 off 41 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes.
Yusuf remained not out on 62 runs off 36 balls (4 fours and 5 sixes) while Irfan Pathan 8 off 3 balls (only six).
