England's white-ball coach Brendon McCullum, who was sacked from the red-ball set-up by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), was one of the biggest wishers of Carse in the longest format of the game. Carse played all his 14 Test matches under the coaching of McCullum.

Now, after the appointment of Kevin Pietersen into the coaching set-up, McCullum advised the pacer to first put his house in order before dreaming of making a return for the England cricket team. Carse was initially named in the squad for the recently concluded Test series against Pakistan, but was dropped later due to the investigation process.
The police de-arrested Brydon Carse after putting handcalfs in his hands with the allegations of turning the situation into disorder outside a Derby bar.
Brendon McCullum asks Brydon Carse to get the house in order
The final reports are yet to come as the investigation process is underway. Brydon Carse is expected to remain outside of the national cricket side as long as the investigation process remains underway.
"As far as Carsey (Brydon Carse) is concerned, it's important for Carsey to get his house in order. We know he's an excellent cricketer who has done well when he's played for England. It's a good chance for him now to get his house in order and then push for selection for the next opportunity that arises," Brendon McCullum says on the future of Brydon Carse with the England cricket team.
"I want us to be the fittest, strongest, most robust, dynamic one-day and T20 side in the world. That comes with hard work, commitment to training, the physical element, but also the high-octane style we want to play comes with responsibilities off the field to look after yourself," he added.

The coach also mentioned that he had conversations with the seamer, where he asked Carse to use his physical attributes to prepare for the hard grind of international cricket and the ability to make sensible decisions off the field.
"I've spoken to Carsey a lot... We want to play the style of cricket that comes with responsibility; it comes with physical attributes which you need to be ready for. And you need to make good decisions off the field that allow you to be able to be the best version of yourself," Brendon McCullum expressed.
"Kev mentioned it in the dressing room earlier, as well. He said we need to give ourselves every opportunity to try and get to the level and get to the achievements that we want. And that includes a lot of the responsibilities that we take on socially and off the field, too," he further stated.
