CSK batsman Robin Uthappa was very grateful to have been part of his franchise and he heaped praise on the whole team management who have worked hard in getting the job done. CSK had a poor season last time in UAE in IPL 2020 and they were desperate to put up a strong performance in this season. They managed to achieve it by winning their fourth IPL title.

CSK batted first after having lost the toss and the openers once again paved the way for a big score. 192 was a daunting task for the KKR side who had a weak middle order and their out-of-form players got exposed. It was a completely dominating performance from the CSK side.

It Was Important For Us To Come Back And Play As Well As We Could –  Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa mentioned that he was grateful to have been part of the CSK franchise and reckoned that the comeback was very important after a disappointing season last time around. He added he would wish to contribute to the team’s success which he has done exceedingly well in the last two games.

“Extremely grateful, it feels amazing to be part of this side, especially how last year went for us. It was a very lean season for us last year and so it was important for us to come back and play as well as we could and be really grateful that we have been able to,”

“I just want to come in and contribute to the team’s success,” Robin Uthappa told after the win.

There’s A Lot Of Clarity And Communication – Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa mentioned that CSK has created a very secure environment for the players in which there is a lot of clarity and commitment. He added the non-playing members also have played a big part in creating a secure environment.

“They create a very secure environment within the group and there’s a lot of clarity and communication within the support staff and the players and that really helps in building a secure group,”

“I believe it’s your players who are not playing in the eleven that really create the atmosphere within the group and they make sure that they look after the players who are not playing in the eleven and I think that’s one of the biggest takeaways of our success in IPL,”
