Rohit Sharma, Abhishek Sharma remain untouchable at No.1 in ICC Rankings despite Pakistan players’ massive rise

Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma and young batting sensation Abhishek Sharma remained the world’s number one batters in the white-ball formats despite the sudden rise of Pakistan stars in the latest ICC Players Rankings updated on Wednesday, November 5.
Despite several Pakistan players making a strong push up both the ICC T20I Batting Rankings and the ICC ODI Batting Rankings, Rohit and Abhishek continue to dominate, thanks to their consistent performances in the white-ball formats.
Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Sharma dominate ICC Rankings as Pakistan players make massive gains
In the latest ICC T20I Batting Rankings, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma still holds the number one position with 925 rating points. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, who recently achieved the number one position in the ICC ODI Batting Rankings on the back of his stunning performance in the Australia series, retained his position with 781 rating points.

Well, the Pakistan cricket team has won four out of five bilateral series in 2025, including a big 2-1 win over South Africa at home. This success has helped many of their players rise in the ICC Players Rankings.
Babar Azam jumped nine places to join 30th, young opener Saim Ayub climbed 10 spots to 39th, and Salman Agha made a big move up to 54th in the ICC T20I Batting Rankings.
Varun Chakravarthy remains the No. 1 T20I bowler
Meanwhile, West Indies captain Shai Hope moved up to 12th, Bangladesh’s Tanzid Hasan made an impressive jump to 17th, and Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran also climbed to 15th and 20th, respectively, in the latest ICC T20I Batting Rankings.
Among the bowlers, Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy remains the No. 1 T20I bowler. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood also climbed into the top 10 after an impressive performance against India in the ongoing five-match T20I series.
Bangladesh’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman climbed 13 spots to reach 14th place, while Mahedi Hasan moved up six places to join 17th after their impressive performances in recent matches. West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder made a nine-spot gain to jump to joint 23rd, and Roston Chase made a 13-place gain to reach 38th in the T20I Rankings.

Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand and West Indies players climb in the latest ICC Rankings
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza made one of the biggest jumps, moving up 32 places to reach 33rd after some brilliant all-round performances. South Africa’s Corbin Bosch also moved up 15 spots to 38th after ending as the top wicket-taker in the recent T20I series against Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Salman Mirza and Faheem Ashraf also jumped into the top 100 after their strong showings. In the ICC T20I All-Rounder Rankings, Sikandar Raza climbed to second, Roston Chase moved to third, while Saim Ayub remained on top after consistent performance against South Africa.
On the other hand, New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell climbed to third among batters after a Player of the Series performance against England, scoring 178 runs in three games, in the ICC ODI Batting Rankings.
Another New Zealand player, Rachin Ravindra, also rose to 14th, while England pacer Jofra Archer moved up to third among ODI bowlers after taking three wickets in that ODI series.
