Gautam Gambhir’s Rapport With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli Becomes a Major Talking Point
Speculation around the future of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has grown ever since the two stepped away from Test cricket earlier this year. Fans have been debating whether the senior duo will continue in ODIs and remain part of India’s plans for the 2027 World Cup.
Ahead of the first ODI, it was reported that the BCCI, along with Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, may hold a meeting in Ahmedabad to discuss the future of Rohit and Kohli in ODI cricket.
However, there were several positive moments on the field. When Rohit reached his fifty, Gambhir applauded him. Gambhir also applauded Kohli’s dismissal after his 135. The coach even shared a warm hug with Kohli as he returned to the dressing room following his 52nd ODI hundred.
