Former India captain Rohit Sharma has arrived in London ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against England to begin his preparations, according to a report by TimesofIndia.com. The veteran opener has already completed multiple training sessions with close friends and local club bowlers.

Rohit, who has scored 11,720 runs in 285 ODIs, is preparing for the series opener, set to take place in Birmingham on Tuesday, July 14. He was in good form during India's recent home ODI series against Afghanistan, scoring 143 runs in three innings as the Shubman Gill-led team completed a 3-0 series sweep.

Rohit Sharma Begins Training at Local Cricket Clubs in London

Rohit Sharma has started training at local cricket clubs in London ahead of the ODI series against England. According to reports, the former India captain first trained at Slough Cricket Club in Berkshire before moving his practice sessions to Swyncombe Cricket Club near Blondin Park.

The early training sessions are aimed at helping Rohit adjust to English conditions before joining the Indian squad. India's batters have struggled against swing during the ongoing T20I series, making preparation for the ODI series even more important.

Rohit also looked fully fit during India's recent ODI series against Afghanistan despite earlier fitness concerns. The team management believes he is in good physical condition ahead of the three-match ODI series in Birmingham, Cardiff, and London.

Rohit Sharma Overcomes Injury Concerns Ahead of England ODIs

Rohit Sharma missed a significant amount of cricket in IPL 2026 earlier this year because of a hamstring injury. The injury limited his match practice and kept him out of action for an extended period before he returned for India's home ODI series against Afghanistan.
