India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma is all set to get a stand named after him at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. As per the reports, it is learned that the Mumbai Cricket Association AGM on Tuesday (April 15) approved a stand in the name of the senior opener.
The reports claimed that the Mumbai Cricket Association along with approving the stand in name of Rohit Sharma also has agreed to do the same for the greats of Mumbai Cricket in Sharad Pawar, Ajit Wadekar, and Amol Kale.

Rohit Sharma's stand will be the Divesh Pavilion 3, while the Grand Stand Level 3 will be named after Sharad Pawar, and the Grand Stand Level 4 will be named after the late Ajit Wadekar. They will be honored for their contribution to Mumbai and Indian cricket.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik talked about the decision to name stands of pillars of Mumbai cricket, saying that it reflects their respect for the. He added that the stands will echo the legacy of those who built Mumbai’s cricketing spirit. Speaking in an official statement, he said (as quoted by HT):
"Today’s decisions reflect our deep respect for the pillars of Mumbai cricket and our determination to build an even stronger future. These stands and this lounge shall forever echo the legacy of those who built Mumbai’s cricketing spirit — brick by brick, run by run."
