Indian opener Rohit Sharma entertained fans during the second ODI against New Zealand on Saturday in Wellington by copying Virat Kohli's viral celebration from the previous match. The cameras caught him performing the famous John Cena-inspired gesture as Glenn Phillips walked out to bat.
India entered the contest with a 1-0 lead after winning the opening ODI by five wickets in Auckland. They bowled out New Zealand for just 134 runs after winning the toss. Gurnoor Brar was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, while Auqib Nabi, Axar Patel, and Anshul Kamboj picked up two wickets each.
Rohit Sharma Copies Virat Kohli's WWE-Inspired Celebration
The moment occurred when New Zealand batter Glenn Phillips walked out to the crease and the stadium DJ played WWE legend John Cena's iconic entrance music. Rohit responded with a wide grin and waved his open hand across his face, recreating Cena's famous "You Can't See Me" gesture.
Rohit's celebration also entertained the commentators in the broadcast studio. Former India batter Ajinkya Rahane and cricket analyst Ajay Jadeja recreated the famous John Cena gesture during the live telecast.
The Indian opener copied Kohli, who had performed the same celebration during the first ODI in Auckland. Kohli used the music to tease Phillips as he walked out to bat, and the incident quickly caught the attention of cricket fans on social media.

Anshul Kamboj and Gurnoor Brar then troubled the middle order, leaving New Zealand struggling at 64/5. Daryl Mitchell offered some resistance with 55 off 104 deliveries and shared a partnership with captain Mitchell Santner, who scored 31.
However, Axar Patel dismissed Mitchell in the 35th over before Brar removed Santner. New Zealand were left reeling at 127/7 after 38 overs. The home side lost their last three wickets for just eight runs.
